IT'S SO WEIRD TO SEE THE PUBLIC SERVICE ADVERTISING ON TELEVISION REGARDING THE NEW TAX REGULATION, WHERE THEY (GOVERNMENT / TAX DEPARTMENT) KEEP ON ASKING THE PEOPLE TO BE HONEST ON FILLING THEIR TAX FORM AND REPORTING THEIR INCOME TAX, WHILE THEY NEVER MAKE THE SAME STATEMENT REGARDING THEIR HONESTY TO MANAGE PEOPLE'S TAXES, WEATHER THEY WILL PROMISE TO USE IT WISELY OR REPORTED TRANSPARENTLY.

Anak Pintar dilelang untuk Beasiswa

Mungkin ada yang pernah liat tayangan di TV One mengenai beberapa siswa SMU yang baru lulus dan ditayangkan profilnya di TV untuk dicarikan donatur yang bersedia memberikan beasiswa. Berita ini cukup mengganggu saya.

Waktu kelulusan murid SMU, ada beberapa anak yang mendapat NEM tinggi, namun tidak mampu melanjutkan pendidikan ke perguruan tinggi.

Hal ini dikarenakan perekonomian keluarga mereka yang pas-pasan. Lalu, TV one berinisiatif untuk menampilkan profil mereka di televisi, dan mengajak penonton untuk bersedia menjadi donatur atau memberikan beasiswa bagi mereka.Hal tersebut mengingatkan saya akan acara pelelangan barang antik.

Saya bertanya-tanya apa tanggapan pemerintah melihat hal ini ? Cukup malukah mereka melihat bahwa karena pemerintah sendiri tidak mampu mensubsidi pendidikan anak bangsa kita, sehingga banyak anak "pintar' yang tidak bisa melanjutkan pendidikan ke tingkat yang lebih tinggi ? Bagaimana dengan mereka yang pintar namun bukan secara akademik ? Hal ini pasti juga menghambat mereka, karena bakat mereka tidak langsung ketahuan seperti teman-temann mereka yang pintar secara akademik.

Bahkan untuk membeli formulir pendaftaran saja mereka harus mengeluarkan uang yang tidak sedikit.Formulir pendaftaran ke perguruan tinggi negeri bisa lebih mahal dibandingkan perguruan tinggi swasta. Kisarannya bisa mencapai 150 ribu - 500 ribu.

Mungkin kalo pemerintah tidak cukup perduli dengan pendidikan bangsa ini, maka kita sebagai warga negara yang harus maju dan bertindak atas nama bangsa Indonesia, karena kalo bukan kita yang perduli, siapa lagi ?

Shakespeare and His Wisdom

To read Shakespeare stories is to learn about human nature.

How men described as deceitful and discriminating creatures, but sometimes also fair and devoted.

Macbeth show us the nature of man who will do anything to get the throne, power and money until he's willing to commit murder upon his fellowmen.

Or Othello, who failed to conquered his own jealousy and tragically ending his innocent wife's life. The event concern Iago, two face, backstabber creature of man, who can spread lies and slanders which is more dangerous than the venom of a serpent. So slick Iago was, until he can convinced Othello to kill his own beloved wife.

My favourite is Timon of Athens, who was betrayed by his own fellowmen after all the good deeds he has done to them. There's a lesson here that a man is not more gracious than a dog.

My other favourite is Merchant of Venice. It tells about the strict law of distinction and discrimination act against the Jews. And the consequences that could happen if a man live in a supressed condition.

Also, notable story of King Lear, whose abandoned by his own children after he became old and weak and no longer sit on the throne.

Shakespeare stories also give another lesson, that in life,  virtues aren't always has it's rewards.

Sometimes they look so wasted.

Perfilman Indonesia Bangkit ????

ROMAN, HOROR, KOMEDI SLAPSTIK, ROMAN LAGI, EH HOROR JUGA, never ending list....

Sejauh ini, genre2 di atas lah yg memenuhi layar bioskop Indonesia.

Dari judul-judul seperti XL, LOVE, SUSTER NGESOT, dll. (sori ga apal judul2nya karena males nontonnya juga). Dari judulnya udah bisa ditebak jalan ceritanya.

Ini semua berawal dari AADC, cerita roman klise yang mengawali genre roman remaja yang sekarang menggila di bioskop. Disusul oleh Jelangkung sebagai promotor film-film horor yg membuat lahirnya film-film sejenis dengan berbagai macam hantu sebagai tokohnya.

Dulu ada film Warkop DKI yang menampilkan lelucon slapstik namun masih bisa membuat saya terbahak-bahak  dengan tambahan wanita-wanita cantik sebagai objek eksploitasi. Kini kita bisa lihat film sejenis yang jauh lebih tidak lucu, namun lebih vulgar, seperti Kawin Kontrak, dan XL.

Tentu saja, film-film komedi dan roman kampungan itu adalah hasil karya produser dan sutradara yg biasa memproduksi sinetron. Jadi hasil garapan film layar lebar pun tidak akan jauh berbeda.

Namun, masih ada beberapa film yang betul-betul menyegarkan, orisinil dan masuk akal, seperti Arisan, Berbagi Suami, Jomblo, dan Daun di Atas Bantal. Film-film garapan Garin Nugroho, Ari Sihasale, Hanung Brahmantyo serta Mira Lesmana.  Namun film seperti ini, presentasinya ga lebih dari 20 persen.

Seperti layaknya orang latah, sutradara-sutradara baru atau lama, berlomba-lomba membuat film dengan genre sejenis dan berharap meraup untung sebesar-besarnya.

Kapan gue bisa lihat film kaya the Constant Gardener, atau Atonement, atau Pan's Labyrinth (maybe not in 100 years).

Padahal banyak fenomena yang bisa diangkat ke layar lebar, seperti aborsi, anak jalanan, penipuan asuransi, fasilitas pendidikan dan kesehatan dari pemerintah, dll. Mungkin orang berpikir ini akan membosankan, tapi selama jalan ceritanya menarik, dengan visualisasi artistik dan akting yang menawan, gue yakin masyarakat akan bisa nikmatin juga.

Waktu FFI ngasih piala citra buat film Ekskul sebagai film terbaik, Marcella Zalianti sebagai pemain wanita terbaik, maka udah bisa dipastikan kalo industri perfilman cuman bisnis basa basi yg tujuannya ga lebih untuk cari untung.

LABEL

Most people are love to give label to others, because they are not comfortable with strangers.
They must give some labels to the person they met or acquainted.
It will make them feel lost if they don't know whose they're dealing with.

If a person was fit with certain characteristics, then it must be label as something
For most people, those labels are not quite suitable and can kill their real characteristics.

try to enjoy the conversation with others without any status or label...

Bad experiences, such as rejections, disappointments, failures, and breakdowns will make U stronger. To be short, anything that doesn't kill U made U stronger.

Why the trees in the countries with 4 seasons grow taller and bigger compared than the trees in the countries with 2 seasons ?

It's because, the trees in 2 seasons countries always experience the warm environment, rarely strucked by storm, snow, flood, or earthquake. So, the roots don't stuck deep in the soil.The trees in 4 seasons country experienced those things almost all year. That's why they grow bigger and stronger, so they don't get stumble so easily. They adjust themselves in order to survive.

Same thing happened with humans. If we never faced any difficulties in life, we became weak. Once we got hit, we just shattered apart. So, I'll try to embrace any problems and difficulties in life, and see them as challenges, instead of problems. 

Always see the bright side from everything. ...

The real danger of Free Sex

to inform the danger of free sex is much more effective than try to make restriction about it especially if U use the moral issue as an approach..

free sex is used to called adultery according to religious belief

free sex among the teenagers are real and massive..

free sex used to be romanticize on movie screen, however the real danger beneath it is not romantic at all...

the real impact of free sex among the few are :

- dangerous diseases such as AIDS, syphilis, cervical cancer and gonorrhea

- broken home families

- unwanted pregnancies and babies that can lead to abortions and child abandonments

it's the sad day when free sex is hailed as a modern way of life..

If we continue to cut the trees and don't try to plant another, then soon or later we might have to buy oxygen for breathing...

We shouldn't asking on whys for everything that happens to our life, because we won't and never understand and may not find the whole truth.

To keep in touch with your friends, or someone who knows you for who you are is a real gift. 
Most people don't know how to behave in front of you, or how to treat you, or how to see you.
It's really frustrating to get some "label" from someone who don't even know you.
Trying to deny it is a waste of time, but to keep it in silent is killing you too.
I'm trying not to judge or making any judgment or asses anyone if i don't really know them.

Always restless

There’s a lot of people who seems “HAPPY” in front of other people.

They got married, have children, have a good spouse, have a good job, have a good house and get settled.

They seems like “I’ve done my job”.  

But is that what they really want in life ?

They may consider that they have already successful. 

Even though it seems very rewarding, but I found their expression are relax, satisfied but still confused.

(it seems like they’re still asking to themselves, is this what I really want?) or (what’s next from here ?)
